Hi,
May I ask how to change the default listening port of MSSQL2000?
ThanksHi,
From SQL server program groups, select "Server network utility". Click TCPIP
and select properties to change port number. After changing the port stop
and start MSSQL server service.
Thanks

As long as you are using TCP/IP You can change the port number by using the SQL Server network utility.
You need to be logged on to the server where SQL server is running. Click start, then programs, then Microsoft SQL server, then server network utility (not client network utility). Choose the instance you want to change. Highlight TCP/IP from enabled properties and click on properties. You can change the port number there.
Hope this helps
John
