I am having some application issues installing an Ultipro Server on W2K3R2 w/
SP2 and SQL 2K5 w/ SP1 when the Host Name was changed after SQL was installed.
I saw a post about this and thought there should be a good way to check and
fix?
Hi
If SELECT @.@.SERVERNAME returns the old server name see:

For this, u need to drop the existing server
sp_dropserver '<old server>'
and add a new server name. do not forget to add the reserved word "local'
sp_addserver '<new server>', 'local'
please let me know if u have any questions

How to change collation on a server?
I use SQL server 2000.
How to change collation on a server?. When I execute "rebuildm.exe" to
change collation on a server, computer always be Hung. Why is it happended?
How to solve it?Hi
Use ALTER DATABASE ... command. Actually the old objects will remain with
old COLLATION.
To change it take a looka ALTER TABLE....ALTER COLUMN ... commands
For more details please refer to the BOL.

How to bulk insert a file from a computer other than the sql serve
I am executing the following bulk insert command:
BULK INSERT xSat FROM 'E:\myOutput.txt' WITH (FIELDTERMINATOR = ' ')
The sql server and file:'E:\myOutput.txt' are in different computers.
The sql server generated the following error msg:
Could not bulk insert because file 'E:\myOutput.txt' could not be opened.
Operating system error code 21(The device is not ready.).
Any suggestions?
Thank you!
Is E: drive letter mapped to a network path to the share that has
myOutput.txt on it? If so, and you can see the file from a process on the
box with SQL Server on then BULK INSERT should work. I suspect you're
specifying E: as the drive letter of the remote computer - that's not going
to work.
